ENSECO, a.s. was established in 1997 as a specialized company for the commissioning of Mochovce Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2. Originally the company was created to supervise and manage the completion of this nuclear power station. The company´s major tasks were to carry out all necessary startup tests required by the Slovak Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the national legislation. Startup testing included surveillance programs to ensure the system´s readiness for reliable commercial service for both nuclear units. Due to the very successful outcome of Mochovce NPS commissioning the company became renowned and recognized in the field of power engineering for its expertise and accountability. Consequently, ENSECO was awarded new contracts by both nuclear power station investors in the Czech Republic and fossile power station investors in the Slovak Republic. Currently ENSECO employes a number of well educated and highly trained personnel who meet all of the strict requirements for work with the most state-of-the-art equipment.

Accountability and quality are inseparable attributes of the company. ENSECO, a.s. has strived to achieve the quality system certificate from the date it was established. Consequently, ENSECO was awarded ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certification by the renowned  Netherland´s auditor DET NORSKE VERITAS. We are currently building up an Occupational Safety Management System according to the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard, thereby completing the integrated management system in ENSECO, a.s.
