ENSECO at the Slovak-Turkish Business Roundtable in Istanbul

On 22. and 23 October 2026, the first meeting of the Joint Economic and Trade Cooperation Commission between the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Türkiye (JETCO) took place in Istanbul. The event included a Business Roundtable bringing together Slovak and Turkish companies of strategic importance for trade and investment. The roundtable was co-chaired by Denisa Saková, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, and Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye.

ENSECO was represented at the forum by its CEO, Michal Hrdina, who presented the company’s expertise and opportunities for cooperation in the Turkish market, particularly in connection with the development of nuclear energy in Türkiye.

For ENSECO, participating in the Slovak business delegation provided an opportunity to identify and establish new contacts and discuss specific ways our company could contribute to strategic projects in the nuclear sector.

Our goal is to develop existing partnerships and apply our experience from VVER nuclear power plant projects, particularly in engineering services, the supply of technological systems, installation, and support during commissioning.

The discussions have undoubtedly opened the door to further cooperation. In this respect, we can consider the mission a success, although much work is still ahead.
