Michal Hrdina in an Interview for Priemysel Dnes

The CEO of ENSECO Michal Hrdina, gave an exclusive interview to Priemysel Dnes magazine, in which he discussed the company’s current development, ongoing projects, and the broader challenges currently facing the energy sector.

At the beginning of the interview, Ing. Hrdina briefly reflects on the final phases of completing Units 3. and 4 of the Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant, a project in which ENSECO has been involved for a long time. He highlights the importance of this project in terms of the experience gained, as well as the demanding nature of manpower management during the most intensive phases of mobilisation. At the same time, he openly addresses the labour market situation, where technically qualified professionals remain one of the key challenges for the entire industry.

The main message of the interview, however, is ENSECO’s strategic shift towards diversification of its project and service portfolio. The company is no longer focused exclusively on nuclear energy projects but is deliberately expanding its activities into other areas of the energy sector and related industries. This particularly reflects the need to modernise existing facilities and implement decarbonisation projects, which the company sees as an opportunity for further growth and long-term stability.

In addition to diversification across sectors, the company is gradually establishing itself in the international environment. Specific steps in this direction, such as establishing an office branch in Hungary and launching a project in Turkey, represent important milestones in the company’s further development.
