In our neck of the woods, the words „early July “ and „Turkey“ typically evoke images of summer holidays, the sea, and relaxation. For our representatives, however, they took on a completely different connotation this time – opening new business opportunities, engaging in insightful panel discussions on nuclear energy, and establishing valuable new contacts. If the venue is near the sea, all the better. 1. On July 1-2, 2025, the NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS VII. EXPO & XI. SUMMIT took place in Istanbul, and we were there for the first time
Why did we decide to participate?
Developments in the (not only) Turkish nuclear industry became particularly relevant for us after signing a contract with the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) for support during commissioning of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. We therefore gladly and with great interest accepted the invitation of our Turkish business partner to attend this summit.
At the NPPES Expo and Summit, we had the opportunity to connect with both local and international companies, to gain updates on the current status of the Akkuyu NPP construction, the latest nuclear power plant construction projects, plans, and technological solutions, and to learn more about the current developments within the Turkish nuclear sector in general.
This time, we attended the expo as participants, allowing us to better absorb the atmosphere and familiarize ourselves with what is still a relatively new environment for us. The visit proved to be highly inspiring; it brought valuable meetings and helped strengthen our existing relationships. We thank TSE for the invitation and the organizers for creating this platform.
We leave the summit with the strong belief that it offers a suitable space for expanding our activities in the region.
