This year, when thinking about our traditional Sports Day, we found ourselves asking these questions: Aren’t we busy enough throughout the year? Don’t we deserve a little rest? And isn’t a bean bag better than an office chair? Well, we certainly are busy, we definitely do deserve a break, and it absolutely is!
So, this September, instead of picking up tennis rackets and footballs, we left them in the cupboard and, for the first time, gathered together at our new premises in Lužianky to enjoy some well-earned rest! Employees also got a chance to explore the new site, which was transformed for one day into a relax-and-chill island.
The music was playing, burgers were sizzling, coffee machines were working overtime, and drinks were flowing (into glasses, of course). As has become tradition, the fantastic SITUM team took care of the activities. Our colleagues could try making their own perfumes, cosmetics, and diffusers, while a caricature artist was on a quest to seek and capture our most flattering selves. The power of the moment was immortalized by a photo booth at hand. During the magician’s show, we experienced a shocking currency reform, and we almost made our Veronika from the mailroom disappear. Don’t worry, though; everything turned out fine. No employees or members of the organizing team were harmed during the event.
We wrapped up this event with a quiz that tested our knowledge of the place where we actually work. Big thanks to everyone who contributed to making this day a success: our colleagues who helped to clear out the hall, the organizers, our great cleaning ladies, the weather forecasters at the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute for not getting the rain forecast right, and to all who came for creating such a wonderful atmosphere. We hope there will be many more opportunities in the future to spend some quality time together.
